The Costa Blanca has been recognized as the healthiest region to live by the World Health Organization (WHO). With more than 300 days of a year of sunshine, you can enjoy agreeable temperatures the whole year through. The annual average temperature is 18º, which means that in the summer the temperature isn´t extremely high, and the temperature in the winter will be relatively warm.
Many of the beaches of the Costa Blanca have a Blue Flag, and some of them are very famous. There are also delightful surprises in the landscapes here, such as the Peñón de Ifach crag in Calpe; the Nature Reserve of Tabarca Island and its marine fauna; and the Fuentes of Algar, a group of waterfalls and springs in Callosa d’En Sarrià.

The Autonomous Community of Valencia leads in the Spanish ranking with a total of 135 Blue Flag beaches. In the Costa Blanca region alone, there are 71 beaches and 13 marinas with Blue Flags! The organization who gives the Blue Flag is the Foundation for Environment Education. It gives a certification to the Touristic places with certain standards.
Its standards for water quality, the water safety, the environmental information and education, the provision of services and environmental management.

Mediterranean cuisine combined with the unique healing climate of the Costa Blanca brings health and long years of living.
